Five years ago...

Last night was the 5 year anniversary of when Kyle proposed to me in my walk-in closet at the Oaks as we were getting ready to go to the Glass Menagerie at the Guthrie. Below are some pictures from that night 5 years ago. Hopefully we haven't aged too much since then : )

We generally do not celebrate engagement anniversaries, and probably would have been fine with sharing a bottle of wine after Micah went to bed. But, my parents needed their grandson fix, as it had been 2 weeks. We took them up on their offer to come down to Winona so that we could have a night out. It was so nice to sit down and have a meal together where we could have a conversation! At this point in our lives, our meals are centered around feeding Micah. We rarely go out to eat as a family, as Micah's at the age where he wants to move : ) That's fine though, I love the family meals that we have at home, and we are saving money by cooking at home. Kyle and and I ended up going to Manny's Mexican restaurant in La Crosse. And, since we were in the area, we checked out the new Once Upon a Child too.
